Oil Control Valves

We will be adding a new selection Oil Control Valves to our FAI range over the coming weeks. These valves are a critical part used in every engine that is fitted with variable valve technology. A single control valve will regulate the supply of oil to a designated VVT hub, to advance or restrict the timing by altering the camshaft angle position. Controlled by the ECU, the OCV receives electrical signals, instructing it to adjust the oil flow as required, in accordance to current driving conditions.

Because VVT hubs rely on a regulated and pressurised oil flow to operate correctly and continuously; if a new TCK is fitted and the old OCV is not working correctly, the VVT hub cannot operate correctly causing a failure.

These valves are often seen as expensive dealer only parts, however, the FAI OCV range offers exceptional value and quality as every part has been developed and manufactured in a tier one OE factory.

 

Torsional Vibration Dampers

Also being added to our FAI portfolio is a new range of Torsional Vibration Dampers. The initial selection of nearly 50 part numbers covers most popular applications.

Each pulley in the FAI TVD range is made to OE specification and includes the rubber harmonic damper element of the construction. Some other aftermarket alternatives have the rubber damper removed from the pulley; which almost certainly increases crank bearing wear, and could lead to early failure of the crank or crank bearings.
